Golovkin Massive Favourite Over Adama
One of the brightest stars in the boxing world, Gennady Golovkin, will next be putting his immense talents on display against Osumanu Adama on February 1st, 2014. The fight, which will be for the International Boxing Organization and WBA World Middleweight titles, will take place at Salle des Etoiles in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
Now, there is very little doubt that Golovkin will run through Adama as he has every other opponent in his professional career. Golovkin is currently sitting on a perfect 28-0-0 record, with 25 of his wins coming via knockout. Boxing fans are attracted to Golovkin's fights due to the sheer ferocity that he displays when handling his opponents. You have to go all the way back to 2008 to find the last time that an opponent of Golovkin's has been able to survive to the end of the fight.
Boxing fans seem to think that Osumanu Adama will simply be the next name to be thrown into the "GGG" meat grinder, and the sports books certainly agree. Golovkin is a -5000 favourite to win on February 1st, which means that you would have to wager an unbelievable $5000 just to have a chance of winning $100 back.
A successful $100 wager on Adama, on the other hand, would return a total profit of $1,400.
Adama, 33 years of age, enters this fight with a lifetime record of 22-3-0, with 16 of his wins coming via knockout. It's safe to say, however, that Adama has never fought anyone with even close to Golovkin's talent.
It's nearly impossible to see any way that Adama wins this fight. It's safe to say that Golovkin should win this one easily, and, given his history, the victory should come via spectacular knockout.
