Winner To Get Shot at Wladimir Klitschko
Earlier today it was revealed that Tyson Fury and Dereck Chisora have signed on the dotted line for a rematch of their July 2011 fight.
The rematch is set to take place at the Phones4u Arena in Manchester, England, on July 26th.
The winner of the rematch will claim the vacant British Heavyweight title, but the real prize in this fight is that the winner will get a shot at Wladimir Klitschko's WBO Heavyweight title. That is the big money fight that both Fury and Chisora so desperately want, which means that there will be plenty on the line come July 26th.
Tyson Fury easily won the first fight between the two men, bruising and battering Dereck Chisora over the course of his 12 round unanimous decision win. Fury said that he is an even better fighter now, and that he will beat Chisora even worse on July 26th.
Chisora, on the other hand, claims that he is a much better fighter as well right now. One thing is for sure - Chisora is certainly in better physical condition now than in July of 2011, so it will be interesting to see what kind of an impact this has on the July 26th fight, especially given the massive prize of a fight against Wladimir Klitschko that awaits the winner.
Tyson Fury has a perfect 22-0-0 record as a professional, with 16 of his fights being won by knockout. Since defeating Chisora in July of 2011, Fury has gone on to beat Joey Abell, Steve Cunningham, Kevin Johnson, Vinny Maddalone, Martin Rogan, Neven Pajkic and Nicolai Firtha.
Dereck Chisora, on the other hand, has a lifetime record of 20-4-0, with 13 of his wins coming via knockout. Chisora has posted a record of 6-3 since losing to Fury.
